FORUM OF THE SCHOOLS OF POLITICAL STUDIES


On 28-29 October 2015 Forum titled “In Search of Lost Universalism” of the Schools of Political Studies of the Council of Europe gathered in Berlin/ Germany over 200 representatives of the Schools of Political Studies from 21 countries along with guests from Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Great Britain.

Many discussions in different formats included the opening addresses by the President of the Association of Schools of Political Studies Catherine Lalumière, German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier and Founder of the School of Civic Education in Moscow Yuri Senokosov. Participants were also welcomed by Head of International Relations Department of Robert Bosch Stiftung Atje Drexler, Director of Political Planning of the Council of Europe Matjaž Gruden and Founder of the School of Civic Education in Moscow Lena Nemirovskaya.

Berlin Forum started from the presumption that there are many cultures – yet only one civilization founded on human rights, freedom, rule of law and democracy. This civilization needs to be constantly reinvigorated.

Forum was organized by the Moscow School of Civic Education, Association of Schools of Political Studies with support of Robert Bosch Stiftung.
